I am so excited to share this news!
A few weeks ago, Junk Food Clothing kindly invited me to be a part of their first Blogger Project. Umm… most definitely the coolest thing to happen to Marijah Stewart since launching in January! The deal is Junk Food gifted a group of bloggers with a tee of their choice from their Summer 2012 assortment, provided that each blogger style the tee to reflect their individual style. I chose “The Groupie Tee” because I loved it’s vintage, rock ‘n roll-chic appeal.
This project presented a personal challenge for me: prove that preggos can roll in style, too! The tee was super soft and comfortable (which any mama-in-training will tell ya is top priority!) and an XL provided more than enough room for my baby bump. Mission accomplished — find a tee that’s stylish and didn’t come from a maternity store. Not that there’s anything wrong with maternity gear, ya’lls, but finding “regular clothes” that fit after month 6 is like finding the unicorn.
As pictured above, I paired my tee with high-waisted American Apparel leggings, a leather vest from Express (that I snagged a few seasons ago), BCBG Parade platform pumps and Chanel aviator shades.
The result? A fun ensemble for haute mamas…? You decide! Let Marijah know what you think of this get-up.
And Junk Food Clothing will soon be asking fans to vote on their favorite look. Stay tuned for more details if you’d like to lend your support!
